Antique Gilt Bronze Onyx Footed Candlesticks Pair Large Ornate Vtg Unis France

Description: These monumental candleholders feature ornate bronze decorations with onyx or marble columns. They probably date to the late 1800’s or early 1900’s. They do not have a manufacturer mark but they look like they were made by Unis of France. They stand approximately 9” tall. The upper candle platform is approximately 7” in diameter. They have a combined weight of over 10 pounds. They have many fine details. One of my favorites, after the fabulous, ornate, upper candle platforms, is the delicate bronze bun feet on the bottom of each. The bases have wear and deterioration. One still has most of the round wood reinforcement intact. The wood reinforcement is gone from the bottom of the other with just an iron plate present. Rare!
