Description: Up for your consideration is this OUTSTANDING antique Georgian (possibly Victorian) coral necklace! It is made up of a graduated strand of RICH SALMON colored natural Mediterranean coral beads. These beads are fat rondelles in shape, and have lovely soft hand faceted surfaces. They are spaced with small saltwater pearls. The coral beads graduate from approximately 8mm X 10mm, up to 11mm X 14mm at the largest central bead! The color of this coral is a very saturated deep salmon "coral" color, and is 100% natural and not treated in any way. These beads have a lovely surface, and are of the very highest quality. This necklace is finished with an ornate gold push clasp which has been enameled with red and white enamels. This necklace measures approximately 15 1/2" long in overall wearable length. The clasp measures 19mm long, by 5mm thick at the middle. This necklace weighs a total of 65.3 grams on my digital scale, and is in EXCEPTIONAL antique condition! This necklace was hanging by a thread when found, and has been restrung. The clasp is not hallmarked (typical of genuine Georgian jewelry).
