The pendant is an early 1900s, antique, hand-carved from natural Jade, 3-dimensional raised trunk elephant pendant with a sterling silver-plated loop. The overall size is roughly the size of a quarter (body fits on the face of a quarter) When I acquired this I was told the bale was sterling (but I can’t tell just from looking but I think it looks like plated silver) . It does not have a purity mark and the bale does not look to me to be original to this piece.) More than likely you recognize the antiquity value of this old piece and you have plans to replace the bale anyway. That would be nice.
