Description: Lovely sewing (or possibly jewellery box. Presented in 1860. Mother of Pearl escutcheon. The box has beautiful detailed hinges, the middle one has some sort of peg and hole mechanism, not quite sure what for. Drawer to base. Beautiful blue interior. Top section slides for and back. Correspondence drop down section in lid. There are some areas of loss to the veneer as I’ve tried to show, but overall a beautiful perfectly useable box. No key. 30.5cm x 22.5cm x 17cm
