Description: Antique CLOCK by WATERBURY (1857-1941) ' Indiana ' Model. Ornate wood. 8-day / 1/2 hour STRIKE. The cabinet is in very good to excellent condition. Mechanics tested. Features; Ornate wood carved cabinet and base with clear undamaged glass. Floral & other designs.8 - Day wind.Small hammer STRIKES on the 1/2 hour. (actually looks like a sledge hammer)Ornate metal pendulum.USA MADE in Connecticut. Purchased through TORONTO CANADA Jeweler.Two iron keys.2nd owner purchased in 1945 in Bayfield CANADA for $125.Original paper label on the back with extensive instructions and cautions.WATERBURY Co. medal recipients at PARIS EXPO in 1878. Tested (ongoing at listing). I turned both keys for two short turns and the clock has now been running 24 hours, striking on the hour and half hour. I did not make the fine adjustments listed on the back label. The clock will be allowed to expend its' energy before I pack it off its' plumb position on the base. The pendulum will be packed under layers and immobilized to protect the mechanics. WHITE SPOTS AND STREAKS ARE REFLECTIONS AND GLARE FROM THE LIGHTING. Measures 22 1/4 inches high by 14 3/4 inches wide and 4 1/2 inches deep. Weighs 6 pound 6 ounces. No cracks, chips, gouges or stains. I find no flaws on the wood structure. Tested for many hours. The dial face has some light discolorations. The rear label has wear but is mostly legible. As with all antique mechanical items; I recommend a fine tune/setting at a Jeweler with clock experience. While this clock has responded very well, to its' restart, the parts can probably use the right lubricant oils in the right places.
