Description: Antique C. 1800's Very Large Hand Blown Aqua Glass Demijohn Carboy Wine Bottle 26" tall This carboy is a very rare find. I believe it was hand blown in the early 1800's. It is very large and made of thick glass. It comes in excellent condition. I did not find any chips, cracks or holes and it does have a few scratches and scuff marks. It has the normal imperfections with hand blown antique glass. It has a beautiful large blob-top mouth. It is very dirty on the inside and I leave that up to the buyer to clean. I tried to clean the inside but it became to heavy for me to lift and I didn't want to drop it. It does hold liquids. I believe it holds approx 21 gallons. It measures approx. 26" tall and 14" wide. The circumference of the bottle is around 45 1/2". It does not have a cork. I found another bottle similar to this one for sale and it was listed at 21 gallons. I don't know how may gallons it holds. It was to heavy for me to fill and then check. Please keep in mind the bottle weighs nearly 18lbs. I have no control over the shipping costs. The bottle will be insured when shipped.
