Description: A beautiful Shelley "Pole Star" 13774/S9 Pale Pink Ludlow shape tea cup & saucer. C.1940+. Pattern No 13774 / colour S9 (Pale Pink): Pale pink cup interior. White cup exterior and handle. Saucer is pale pink with a white centre. Stars outside cup and one in centre of saucer. The back stamp is the 1940-1966 green cartouche mark. The shape of this trio is the Ludlow shape which was produced between 1938 & 1966. Dimensions: diameter of cup base 37mm (1.5 inches) / diameter across top of cup 84mm (3.25 inches) / height of cup 57mm (2.25 inches) / diameter of saucer 140mm (5.5 inches). Condition: Both pieces are in very good clean condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, rubbing or signs of use. 1 small glaze imperfection (since manufacture) to cup interior. Paintwork is in good order with no fading to the pattern. Both pieces have a very good "ping" to them when lightly tapped.
