Description: 9ct 375 Yellow & White Gold Necklace W/ Natural Garnet Beads - Handmade - 41cm Solid 9ct yellow and white gold. Hallmarked “9KT” The necklace is in good condition. It is showing a few finer scratches and some minimal wear on the gold. The necklace link style is a beaded necklace. The necklace is dated to around 2010 and it is handmade. The main beads on this necklace are all natural red garnets. Each bead has been tested and they were all confirmed to be natural and free from colour enhancement. There are no chips or visible scratches on the beads. The beads have a total rough estimated carat weight of around 170cts. No chipped or visibly scratched beads. The beads are slightly uneven and not perfectly circular. This is difficult to notice as it is minimal. The garnets are a really dark read colour. They show a brighter transparent red when held up to a bright light source. The gold purity of this necklace has been tested and it was confirmed to be solid 9ct yellow and white gold (37.5% purity) The two parts of the clasp are a matching set, yellow and white was used as a design choice. The necklace has had no beads added. The clasp is solid 9ct gold. It is functional and latches properly. It is a hook style clasp so it doesn’t fall open all the way. The beads are threaded on with modern nylon string. The ends are knotted onto the clasps and then the knots have been glued together to stop them from unravelling. This is common practice so it is good to wear as is. Very comfortable to wear. Chocker style necklace. The necklace is 41cm in length. The beads are 7.2mm in diameter. The clasp is 7.8mm in diameter.
