Description: I’m offering a true rarity, here. Probably the largest piece of this meteorite in private hands. Up for grabs is an 82g full slice of the South Byron meteorite, discovered in New York, USA, in 1915. South Byron is an extremely rare and scientifically important iron meteorite and is part of what’s known as the South Byron Trio, or SBT for short. I’ve never seen a piece of this meteorite for sale, so don’t miss out on this opportunity, as it will likely not come around again for a long time! The provenance on this piece is also spectacular, originally coming from Southwest Metworite Laboratory and before that, the Chicago Field Museum. This meteorite has ties to rare pallasites like Milton and carbonaceous chondrites. My name is Roberto Vargas and I am a member of the International Meteorite Collectors Association (IMCA# 5746). I guarantee the authenticity of all of the meteorites I sell. If you have any questions please feel free to send me a message. Thanks for looking!
