Author Biography John Berryman (1914-1972) was an American poet and scholar. He won the Pulitzer Prize for 77 Dream Songs in 1965 and the National Book Award and the Bollingen Prize for His Toy, His Dream, His Rest in 1969. Henri Cole was born in Fukuoka, Japan, and raised in Virginia. He has published eight collections of poetry and received many awards for his work, including the Jackson Prize, the Kingsley Tufts Award, the Rome Prize, the Berlin Prize, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and the Lenore Marshall Award. His most recent collection is Touch (FSG, 2011). He is poetry editor of The New Republic and lives in Boston.
