Description: WE DO NOT GUARANTEE HATCH RATE! BUYING SHIPPED EGGS IS A GAMBLE. There are no refunds for eggs that do not hatch. Please read all the way to the bottom. We only sell and ship within the continental US. This listing is for 6+ welsummer eggs. Eggs are unwashed. Gorgeous chickens that can lay bold speckled eggs. The pictures are an example of the eggs you might receive. They don’t necessarily lay the same speckled pattern every day, but they are bred, with a focus on producing more speckles on their eggs each generation. My chickens, including my roosters are people friendly. I will only ship fresh eggs, packed in custom foam shippers and do my best to get them to you safely and quickly. If you want your eggs held at the post office for you to pick up, please message me a number to write on the box for your local post office and they will contact you to pick up your eggs. I always prefer this, sometimes the last few miles in transit can be the hardest on the eggs. Please make sure you are familiar with the incubation protocols for shipped eggs. There’s conflicting information about the process all over the internet, but the following practices have really helped us in hatching shipped eggs. Always wash your hands before unpacking or handling them. Please DON’T WASH YOUR EGGS. Eggs contain a protective coating, called bloom. This helps prevent bacteria from entering the porous shell and killing the embryo. I won’t send eggs that are dirty. We recommend letting your eggs rest fat end upright for 24 hours (this allows the air cells to stabilize). We also recommend not turning the eggs for the first 3 to 5 days of incubation. If you have questions about incubation, please ask. We want you to have success hatching your eggs. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE HATCH RATE OF THE EGGS YOU WILL RECEIVE! Your results will be anywhere from 0% - 100%. We do everything we can to make sure your eggs are shipped quickly and safely, however once the package leaves our hands, it is out of our control. There are many factors that we cannot control: shipping conditions (i.e. rough handling, exposure to extreme temperatures, delays, x-ray machines). We also cannot control your incubation practices. Eggs develop best when temperature is very stable 99.5 degrees throughout the incubation period. I use an extra Govee thermometer/ hygrometer to monitor temperature and humidity in my incubator. Most incubators are off by a degree or two and adjustments might need to be made. Please use a quality incubator, in a draft free location, away from direct sunlight in your home. Have the clean incubator running for 24 hours before setting your eggs. This will give it time to stabilize and you can monitor the temperature. We do hatch our own chicks frequently from the same eggs you are receiving with a high hatch rate. Please leave feedback based on condition of eggs when received, not after hatching. A low hatch rate does not mean they were infertile. A number of incubation circumstances can cause eggs to not develop or hatch. If you cannot accept the risk associated with shipping eggs, please do not bid/buy. I ask that if you have a concern to please reach out and we will come up with a solution together. Reach out at any time with questions. We are always happy to answer your questions or concerns.
