Description: Fertilized hatching eggs from our small flock of pet quality Serama chickens. You will receive a mix of 6 (plus extras if available) freshly collected eggs. Eggs are unwashed and less than 4 days old. We test hatch frequently to verify fertility! Eggs will ship once enough are collected to fulfill the order. You will be provided with a tracking number as soon as the eggs ship! Shipments are sent via USPS Priority Mail on Monday or Tuesday to ensure they do not sit over the weekend at postal facilities. We can put a note on the box for you to be called upon arrival, but cannot guarantee that the eggs will be held at the Post Office for pickup. We highly recommend you research shipped eggs and incubation before purchasing. Shipped eggs are a gamble and there is no guarantee they will hatch. By purchasing, you accept this risk and agree to our policies. We do not offer refunds for 0% hatch rate or a money back guarantee for late packages. Non-development does not necessarily mean the egg was never fertilized. We are not responsible for how the package is handled by USPS or for other variables beyond our control (weather, delays, improper incubation, etc). Please take into account temperatures, as extreme heat and cold can affect development. If you receive broken eggs please take clear photos of the box and eggs immediately and contact us. *** TIPS FOR SUCCESSFUL HATCHING *** PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING *** SHIPPING IS STRESSFUL ON FERTILIZED EGGS. Here is a list of tips to increase your hatching success! 1. After carefully unpacking your eggs, candle the eggs to examine them for any hairline cracks or signs of damage. Discard broken or damaged eggs. 2. Allow eggs to rest at room temperature for at least 24 HOURS before placing them in the incubator. Stand the eggs upright in an egg carton with the pointed side facing down. This helps the air cell settle. 3. Once your incubator is stabilized, set the eggs. DO NOT turn the eggs for 3 DAYS. If your incubator model has an automatic turner, you may need to disable or detach this feature. 4. After the eggs have settled in the incubator for 3 days, you can begin turning the eggs if it is your preferred method of incubation. 5. Around day 7, you can candle the eggs to look for signs of development, (i.e. veins or embryo) 6. Resist the urge to handle or move the eggs excessively. Touching eggs often or opening the incubator leads to fluctuations and may impact hatch rates. PLEASE NOTE: This is meant to serve as a guide, and it is not an exhaustive set of instructions. We do not provide specific recommendations regarding the type of incubator, temperature to use, or humidity, etc. All of these factors may be influenced by individual preference or ambient conditions in your environment. Once the eggs leave our hands we are unable to guarantee development or hatching. Please research and utilize these tips to increase your success. Good luck and happy hatching!
