Description: Fitment:Fit for Dodge 1994 - 2005 Ram 2500 and 3500 4WD with NV4500 transmissions (5.9L and 6.7L) Features: (1) This kit includes both a new 5th gear lock-nut, and a lock-nut retainer which utilizes the splines of the main shaft to assist in keeping constant tension applied to the 5th gear lock-nut to prevent it from backing off ever again. (2)The lock-nut retainer installs on the main output shaft of the transmission. This means you only need to drop the transfer case and can leave the transmission still assembled in the vehicle. The retainer simply slides into place in the shaft, and is kept secure by the transfer case's input shaft. (3)4-Tab design completely engages the lock nut with 4-gap design, while 29-Spline body meshes with the main shaft for solid, secure installation. (4) No need to remove, or disassemble the transmission assembly. Only remove the transfer case and extension housing while still in the truck. (5) The retainer simply slides into place in the shaft, and is kept secure by the transfer case's input.
