Description: This is an overall Very Good Condition RARE (this is the only one of these maps I can find for sale in the World at time of first listing) 44" (1.12 Metres) x 55" (1.4 Metres) 1962 Official Indian Govt Road Map of India, Second Edition, Cloth Backed (probably heavy cotton or fine burlap as used for flour sacks, but it may even be homespun) Folded into a Book Published under the Direction of Brigadier Gambhir Singh, M.I.S. Surveyor General of India. 1:2,500,000 (1 cm to 25 km) Scale. Apparently issued in response to the 1962 Sino-Indian Border War as India's Opinion on Where Their Borders Exist. When folded, the book is 8 1/2" (21.5 cm) Wide x 11" (27.5 cm) Long x 3/4" (2 cm) Thick.
