Works well on both VHF and UHF bands. However if you have severe terrain obstructions, 360 degree antennas are not meant to replace a deep fringe directional antenna by any means. HOW DO YOU KNOW IT WILL WORK: To get an estimation of channels this model can pick up, we highly recommend using the "TV Signal Locator" page on TVfool dot com. Generally if mounted outside above roof height, it should get nearly all the VHF and UHF stations in both the "Green" and "Yellow" backgrounds (but none of the stations in the pinkish / reddish background). If you have stations in the pink or reddish background or below, those stations are likely impossible or will require a deep fringe directional antenna to pick them up.
