Klismos form. Cast aluminum frame with inset, perforated sheet aluminum seat. Heavy. Architectural quality. All original. I believe Michael Taylor called this finish "pitted nickel". It has the look of tarnished silver or antique pewter or steel. Markings: none. These chairs are quite heavy. In my opinion they work best as either stationary chairs (not meant to be moved) or with felt glides on a polished floor. 1990s I believe. More photos available on request. CONDITION: These chairs were used outdoors and have corresponding typical use-related wear and general weathering to the finish. Typical use related wear includes: scattered rubs to the finish; scattered superficial scuffs and scratches; loss to the paint finish on the seat panels. Typical scattered superficial oxidation. There is a small scrape to the edge of the back slat visible on the back of one chair. In glancing light you may detect a very slight, subtle crease or 2 in the perforated seat panels. See photos for all of this. None of this is conspicuous. The hard rubber or plastic glides are worn to nubs with the heads of the screws that hold them in place exposed. You will probably want to replace the glides. If you intend to use the chairs indoors on an uncarpeted surface you will probably want to use heavy duty felt glides to protect your floors. Otherwise these chairs are generally in very good original condition with no damage and no significant wear. No restorations / repairs / touch ups. Used but not abused. No other significant scrapes / gouges. No dings, dents, chips, cracks, breaks, bends. No significant oxidation. No corrosion. Generally clean as found. The undersides could used light cleaning/hosing off. These chairs exhibit typical small scattered production-related casting flaws and small surface pits original to the chairs. The chairs display well.
