20.5" Diamond Back Ascent EX Frame/Fork, True Temper Chromoly, Smoky Grey, 26"er

Description: I think this is a 1990 Diamond Back Ascent EX Mountain bike frame and fork. I couldn't find a 1990 catalog, but others have listed this smokey grey color way as 1990 and the 1989 catalog has something similar. It's a 20.5", roughly 53-54cm. The frame was heavily used in its day. There were teenage mutant ninja turtle stickers (very period appropriate) all over it that I removed, still a little residue on the fork. There are some nicks and paint chips. But it's a great frame, rides well, and would make a great starting point for a cool project. Sandblast thing, paint it a slick electric eggplant color and bob's your aunt. If you've gotten this far, chances are you know exactly what you would do with this. The frame is made of double butted True Temper Chromoly. The fork is also Chromoly. I left the headset in place. Also the bottom bracket (everything but the lockring you can see on the bike is in a ziplock bag that I neglected photograph). Please see the photos for condition.
