Description: For sale are the Soviet-era USSR pottery vase and Zlatoust metal engraving shown in the listing photos. The vase measures ~ 7 1/2" tall, ~ 3 1/2" wide at the top opening and ~ 2 1/2" wide at the base. The complete circumference of the vase is incised near the base with a geometric pattern and in the middle with what we would describe as an allegory using carved human figures. We have consulted with experts in USSR-era decorative arts who indicate that the star stamp on the label indicates that the piece was made by an elite maker. The Zlatoust gold and silver forest scene engraving on steel measures ~ 13" X 4", is artist signed and dated in the lower right front (photo 9) and stamped on the back (photos 10 & 11). Please read the detailed Condition description section, examine the photos and ask any questions before bidding. The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges.
