19th Century French Ormolu

Description: This fine pair of 19th Century French bronze gilded Ormulu and malachite lidded ornamental vases called cassoulets are created in a magnificent Louis the 14th Style. Made out of beautiful malachite stone with reversible lids, they can be changed into candle holders. The cast ormolu mounts are decorated with rams heads and cloven hooves. The vases are decorated with hanging garlands and bud shaped lids. The mounts are supported by stepped, circular malachite bases that have decorative beaded rings tapered feet. The pieces are in good conditions with one of the legs have been repaired. Small bit of spacing between one of the rams' head.
