Dates approximately 1850/1890 No missing or replaced timber. Part from minor bruising the box is in good restored condition. Its a very large box measuring 19.75 INCHES long.Difficult to find these boxes now and becoming quite sought after.Original solid brass front clips and solid brass keyhole escutcheon and original solid brass screws to the top. This would make a great document box but has many many uses. The box has its original solid brass lock , top catch and hinges. The box is supplied with a Victorian key and silk tassel that sadly does not lock the box and is supplied and described as being decorative only. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS BOX.
