1999 GT Ricochet | 18" | Silver Lake Blue | 7000 Series Aluminum

Description: "Those GT's touch up great with a light blue sharpie." - my friend Joshua C. Here we have a 1994 GT Ricochet, 18", in Silver Lake Blue. It's a USA-made frame featuring 7000 series custom double butted aluminum. The colorway is super nice! The finish however has (as we like to say) "some marks, nicks and scrapes from use." Ya think? That's patina! Anyway ... you will see there is likely storage damage on the top tube, which as far as I can see/feel, is NOT a dent. I've documented it as best I can in the photos. In any event, the frame is priced accordingly! :) Pretty sure the frame takes a 27.2 mm seat post, and I may still have the one that was on the bike originally, please see my other listings. 135 mm rear spacing; the top tube measures 22.75" or so. The head tube is 4.375" long and takes a 1-1/8" headset. The bottom bracket spins well. Let's be honest ... this bike isn't going to win any beauty contests, but hey, it's still a solid platform! It's ready for you to give a little love - and build up! I have to use new cardboard boxes from Amazon ($8-$12 each) because my local bike shops can't always provide me with boxes in the sizes I need. Smaller frames ship with forks removed (if present), rear triangle blocked with wood, and lots, lots, LOTS of crumpled up newspaper to ensure the frame doesn't move around inside. Larger frames also ship with the rear triangle blocked with wood, and with any fork still attached. I use cardboard bracing in several key spots (front and rear brake bosses, bottom bracket, rear dropouts) along with heavy-duty zip ties to ensure the frame does not move around once the box is closed.
