These cards were in packs of 3 cards inserted into cereal boxes. The insertion, storage, shipping, and excitement of opening all led to the majority of these limited edition cards deteriorating in condition in various ways. The ability to get these hard-to-find cards in high-grade slabs is high rare, shown by the very low numbers in PSA population reports. Enjoy this callback to your childhood and the excitement of pulling your favorite stars while eating your favorite sugary cereals :) According to PSA:The 1990 Post Cereal baseball set launched a new era for the company that hadn?t produced a set featuring diamond stars since 1963, though Post Cereal?s most recent foray into sports cards was the 1982 hockey set. The 1990 issuance contains 30 cards featuring baseball?s top players. Each card front shows a full-color posed image of the player (in uniform, not displaying his team?s logo) with a red, white and blue border. At the upper left is the Post logo with an MLB logo at the upper right with ?First Collector Series? printed in black between them and the player?s name, team and position are printed along the bottom border. Printed horizontally, the player?s information and yearly and career highlight the backs with a facsimile of his signature featured at the bottom. Cards were included in Alpha-Bits, Cocoa Pebbles, Fruity Pebbles cereal, three cards per box.
