Description: Up for sale, a 1978 Fender Telecaster in exceptional condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original molded hardshell case. This vintage Telecaster is extremely well-kept and 100% original save for a pair of Fender Custom Shop Texas Special pickups. '50s-centric tonewoods include an ash body and a one-piece maple neck, and this Tele weighs 10lbs 15oz, dishing out tons of natural sustain and midrange heft. Fender’s Custom Shop Texas Special pickups feature all the hallmarks of vintage Tele pickup design, with a brass baseplate and staggered alnico poles on the bridge pickup, black fiber bobbins, and push-back cloth-covered leads. A pickup that has a bit more kick than a traditional Tele thanks to a slightly overwound design, the Texas Specials offer plenty of snap and snarl, with chewy twang at the bridge and smooth, bell-like cut at the neck. This Telecaster has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
