Description: Handsome fold-out 1976 Texaco road map of Florida and Georgia, printed more than 40 years ago. This map opens to 25¼" x 14¾" and has good detail on old highway alignments, with cartography by Rand McNally. Florida is on one side; Georgia is on the other. There are inset plans of Tampa-St. Petersburg, Fort Lauderdale-Miami Beach, Jacksonville, Savannah, Augusta, Columbus, and Atlanta. The map was published by Texaco in 1976 and is dated in the legend. The code number in the lower margin is 766012-17, and the code on the back cover is 761. The cover design features a montage of photographs of scenes around the U.S., in acknowledgement of the nation's bicentennial. The compact size of the map reflects the cost-cutting that went on among the major companies after the 1972 oil crisis. Condition: This map is in very good condition, bright and clean, with no rips, tears or writing. Please see the scans and feel free to ask any questions. Buy with confidence!
