The copyright page shows the date of 1974, and nothing else to indicate that this is anything other than a 1st printing of the 1st edition. The dust jacket is not price clipped and still shows the original retail price of $ 8.95 on the inside front flap. The book has 374 numbered pages. This is a very desirable book in this condition. Please note: There are faint “spots” showing in the photos, at least on my computer; these are from my camera and they are not on the book or the dust jacket. I have always collected movies, ever since they became available to play at home on VHS tapes. I also love to read, so I began collecting the books that the movies in my collection were based on. This book was part of that personal collection. I recently decided to pull the movie from my collection, so I am also selling the book. The book comes with a new Brodart archival plastic cover over the dust jacket for maximum protection. I do my best to describe all items as accurately as possible and to the best of my ability. The book is in very good used condition. The book is not ex-library, not a book club edition, has no remainder marks, and the dust jacket is not price clipped. It is tightly bound, has no lean, and no noticeable fading to the dust jacket. There are no tears to any pages and none are dog-eared. The dust jacket has no tears and only a few very minor chips to the edges; these are more to the black printed area than to the actual paper of the dust jacket – see my photos. There are no markings or stains of any kind inside or outside the book. I will mention the following things about the book: There are some age-related signs of use to the edges and corners of the cover and some minor soiling to the edges of the text block – see my photos. The cover is pulled away from the top of the spine a bit, but the binding is still nice and tight – see my photos. The book also has a noticeable “old” smell to the inside. The dust jacket has signs of age-related edgewear and shelf wear – see my photos. Please keep in mind these photos may be blown up at least 8-10 times normal, so anything you see will look 8-10 times larger in the photos than it really is. Please note: if you see a dark spot in the photos, it is from my camera and is not a mark on the piece.
