Please review the photos as they are part of the item description. The 1966 Indianapolis 500 was the 50th running of the race and was held on May 30th. Mario Andretti started on the pole and led the field to green. An 11 car accident ensued in what would be a race of attrition that saw only 7 cars finish. Rookie Jackie Stewart had the race under control, leading by over a lap, when his cars oil pressure dropped with less than 10 laps to go. Another rookie, Graham Hill, would take the lead and go on to win, the first rookie to do so since 1927. Finishing second was Jim Clark, followed by Jim McElreath, Gordon Johncock, and Mel Kenyon. Please review the other racing items I have listed. I will combine shipping and provide a refund on shipping charges for anything over cost. Thanks!
