Description: This is an original Jim Junior Gilliam of The Brooklyn Dodgers News Paper Advertising Piece. The Ad was produced by Batten, Barton, Durstine & Osborn, INC in 06-28-55 to appear in NEGRO NEWSPAPERS as this was an early era for black baseball players in The Major Leagues and so the appeal was to reach the black population market! Junior was advertising Royal Crown Cola where you could get a Spin-O-Rama record featuring radio and TV Artists for 50 cents and the coupon from The RC Carton. This piece is blank backed not cut from the newspaper and so not sure what the process was to use it in that era. It is not a recent reproduction and on newspaper stock. The AD measures 11 1/2 by 17 inches is in very good unused condition and would look great framed in your room or office.
