Description: 1930s Tuco Picture Puzzle, Adoption of the Flag, Art Deco Original Box, Complete Collectible and complete antique picture jigsaw puzzle with "Adoption of the Flag" subject made by the famous Tuco Work Shops in Lockport, NY. Original Art Deco style box. Marked copyright 1933. During the Depression era, Tuco Puzzle Workshops brilliantly repurposed unused construction wallboard into interlocking picture puzzles. Art Deco style original box is 8.5" x 6.25" x 3 5/8". Black, grey and red abstract puzzle design with a silhouette of a man and woman working on the puzzle and "Tuco Picture Puzzle" above them. Below in small print is "copyright 1933 The Tuco Workshops". On the side the subject is titled "Adoption of the Flag" with "over 350" pieces (actual count is 358). Picture puzzle is in excellent antique condition, with all pieces intact. Original box is also in very good antique condition with age related scratches and smudges.
