This is a spectacular treat for the Italian soccer collector / fan, or vintage soccer collector. I say that because a copy of this card has NEVER sold on eBay. Ever. I went back through a 25 year database. There have also been almost no copies of any card from this set to have sold, and it is so scarce and specialized there is NO PSA registry entry for it. They have NEVER graded anything from this set. There are only 50 TOTAL sgc graded copies from this set, most of which are the other sports cards in it (like Ferrari.) This card grades an SGC 2 GD. It is the HIGHEST of 3 graded copies with the NAME in RED variant. Only 9 cards in the SET grade higher. NONE above a 3. Anyway, this is the Italian great, Medalist and world cup winning defender, who was on 5 Serie A champions with Juventus. One of the best pre-war soccer players, an easy top 10 Italian player. Card looks great with a decently clean surface, sharp edges but dinged/chipped corners. Would be mid-grade if not for the glue residue on the back that was just how these cards were. It's not terribly noticable, it looks more like some age toning in my opinion, but judge for yourself. Soccer cards still have a ton of room for growth. This is an exceptional one. Imagine the equivalent level of player from other sports and you'd be talking 10X this, despite the much, much larger base of global soccer fans. Check out my other listings.
