Description: Here is an original paper window poster, a newsprint Art Supplement to the Philadelphia North American newspaper, dated Sept. 29, 1918, that measures approx. 8" by 9 3/4". Iconic image of a burning Statue of Liberty by noted artist Joseph Pennell on the front that promotes the sale of Liberty Loan Bonds, while the reverse has an essay by Herbert Quick ~ "it will take money, money, money that we may send men, men, men." Printed on fragile newsprint, it does have some small edge tears along the top edge (and a small edge tear on left & right sides) with very minor material loss of the bottom corners, but these flaws can be minimized with cropping / matting which I'll leave up to you. Thanks for looking at this auction.
