Description: This is a beautiful example of the 1887 "Our National Game" scrapbook. It features 6 beautifully colored lithographs of baseball scenes. The lithographs are attributed to real baseball fields from the era. St. George Grounds, Staten Island & Washington Park, Brooklyn are believed to be the inspiration for the images. The lithographed pages all all tighlty attached to the binding. One of the non-litho pages is loose. The backs of each lithograph as well as the other pages are covered in newspaper clippings and images from the time period. Book is ~14in x 11in.
