Description: 1876 RAILROAD DEPARTMENT,SHERMAN`S TELEGRAPH COLLEGE,OBERLIN,OHIO $2 OBSOLETE CURRENCY A RARE BUT ROUGH OBSOLETE BANKNOTE,WITH A VERY,VERY INTERESTING HISTORY,IN FACT,OBERLIN COLLEGE WAS FOUNDED IN 1833 IN OHIO WITH A RICH AND DIVERSE HISTORY THAT STILL EXISTS.I PURCHASED THIS FROM AN ESTATE,IT WAS HOUSED INTO A HOLDER COMPRISED OF TWO PIECES OF PLASTIC SEALED WITH TAPE AROUND THE EDGES.I WANTED TO CHANGE THE HOLDER TO A REGULAR CURRENCY HOLDER,AND AT THAT TIME I NOTICED THAT THERE WAS A PIECE OF DOUBLE FACE TAPE HOLDING THE NOTE TOGETHER,AND TO KEEP IT FROM MOVING AROUND IN ITS MAKESHIFT HOLDER,UGH! WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT.SO I DID MANAGE TO SEPARATE THE TWO AND THE TAPE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO BE REMOVED FROM THE PAPER,I CUT A SMALL PIECE OF PLASTIC FROM THE ORIGINAL HOLDER,AND PLACED IT OVER THE TAPE TO PREVENT ANY FURTHER DAMAGE UNTIL IT COULD BE POSSIBLY CONSERVED INTO SOME MANNER,PLEASE SEE THE LAST OBVERSE PIC.A UNIQUE PIECE OF OHIO HISTORY FOR SURE. AS PICTURED,SELLING AS-IS,WHERE IS,NO RETURNS. COMBINED SHIPPING ON MULTIPLE ITEMS,WHEN POSSIBLE,IS DONE AT INVOICING
