Numerous illustrated initials throughout. Mix of periodic pencil and ink marginalia throughout text block. Illustrated printer mark of Giolito takes up majority of title page. Printed by Gabriele Giolito de’Ferrari (1508-1578), an Italian printer from Venice. Giolito, together with his sons, published some of the first works in the common Italian vernacular, as opposed to Latin or Greek.
