Description: Make unique Alternative or Silver Gelatin prints with this contact printing frame made of a beautiful Clear Cherry wood with oak pinned bridle joint corner construction. The pressure plate is made from half inch Baltic Birch void free ply and the negative side has a felt covering to protect the negative/paper sandwich. The frame is covered in 4 coats of clear satin polyurethane. It is a very robust handcrafted frame and should last a lifetime of printing. Not to be confused with the flimsy alternatives out there, these frames are heavy duty. Perfect for contact printing silver gelatin or any of the myriad of alternative photography processes like gum, cyanotype, van Dyke, platinum/palladium etc. This frame is the perfect size if you wish to use full sheets of 22x30 inch art paper that is cut into 4 sheets of 11x15 inches. The max image size is approximately 12x15 inches +/- .5 inch. The max paper size is approximately 12.5 x 15.5inches. Overall dimensions are 17.5 x 14.5 x 1 3/4 inches.
