I try to ship juvenile animals ensuring that they have a longer potential lifespan than their adult counter parts. If below 40 or above 90 I will ship hold for pick up to keep your purchase safe. I will provide cold packs, cryopaks, or heat packs as necessary. LAG for temperatures under 90 degrees. I do my best to get your isopods to you safe and sound but it's challenging in extreme temperatures. New isopods will be shipped provided immediate notification of DOA. Isopods do well in an enclosure with a secure fitting lid, they are renown escape artists. Feed them to reptiles or establish a colony using a 6qt container set up with either coconut coir or organic substrate. They will need one side of the enclose damp and the other side on the drier side with plenty of hard wood leaf litter and decaying bark, such as cork bark, to use as hides. Keep a calcium source available and provide them with fresh food items such as zucchini, sweet potato, carrot, pumpkin etc. Remember to wash and peel first, Isopods are sensitive to pesticides. USPS has extended shipping times and i strongly recommend being present for delivery. I ship on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays to reduce time in transit and avoid having the package held up in the post office over the weekend.
